Darn to Advertise brilliance

- BY ROBERT HYNES

TOO DARN HOT should prove exactly that in the Dewhurst at Newmarket this afternoon.

Next year’s Derby favourite has been sensational in winning his three races to date for the Prix de l’arc de Triomphe winning trainer/jockey combination of John Gosden and Frankie Dettori.

This will be by far the toughest test he has faced, but he looks like a horse that could have so much more in the tank and I can see him winning by a couple of lengths.

He should go off at a very short price and may tempt punters to look at one of the other runners for an each-way punt.

If you are doing so, look no further than ADVERTISE under jockey of the moment Oisin Murphy and trainer Martyn Meade.

He won the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh when last seen in August and Murphy is very sweet on his chances and both him and Meade think he could be a miler in the making.

Also at Newmarket, the Cesarewitch looks the lottery it usually is.

Only one favourite has won this contest in the last seven years and in that time, there’s been a 25/1 (Never Can Tell 2011), 50/1 (Grumeti 2015) and two 66/1 winners (Aaim To Prosper 2012 and Scatter Dice 2013).

That does not bode well for STRATUM, one of a number of runners for Willie Mullins.

He had no luck in running in the Ebor and looks set to go off favourite, especially if owner and renowned gambler Tony Bloom has a punt on him.

I’m going to side with another one towards the top of the market in SOUTHERN FRANCE for Aiden O’brien, who has never won this race.

He was third behind Kew Gardens and Lah Ti Dar in the St Leger and that has to be the best form on offer here if he can step up to this marathon distance.

MAGNA GRECIA won well on his debut at Naas and should go close in the Masar Godolphin Autumn Stakes for the O’brien team at the same track.

And looking ahead to the Munster National at

Limerick tomorrow, have an each-way punt on

if the

MAGNA GRECIA (7/2) for his Could come on any amount of debut run and has a great chance a winner for Aiden O’brien whose horses have been in flying form.

rain continues.

He’s not getting any younger, but has won this contest before and could run a massive race if getting heavy ground.

His trainer Gavin Cromwell had a winner at Longchamp on the day before last weekend’s Arc.
