Movie star Selma Blair HOLLYWOOD star Selma Blair has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

But the Cruel Intentions actress, 46, said she was “relieved” to find out after years of suffering.

She added: “I am disabled. I fall sometimes.

“I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken GPS.”

The American, who is filming TV sci-fi drama Another Life, said she has help to get dressed.

She added: “I want my life to be full somehow.

“I want to play with my son again. I want to walk down the street.”

MS, an incurable disease of the central nervous system, causes symptoms such as vision loss and impaired co-ordination. A FATHER and son were badly injured when they lost control of their helicopter during a landing in their garden in high winds, an air accident report has found.

Donnie and Dustin Marron were attempting to land the aircraft near Carlingford, Co Louth, when a gust spun it out of control and it fell to the ground.

Both men had to be cut from the wreckage but made a full recovery.

An Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit report said an unidentified witness described the moment of the March 12, 2017, crash.

It added: “As [the helicopter] descended, I couldn’t tell you how high he was from the ground at that point.

“But he was hovering and the next thing the helicopter seemed to start to become unstable.

“Then it appeared to try to lift off again and the helicopter spun round and at that point he was in obviously a lot of difficulty.

“He was now coming with the wind and the helicopter went on its side.

“I could see the bottom of the helicopter sideways-on and it was descending really rapidly then and then I heard a thud.

“From where I was I couldn’t see it hit the ground.”

the trapped pilot and passenger. The report added: “The witness ‘cut the straps’ to make the pilot more comfortable until the emergency services arrived and said that, ‘I saw the switches and I thought about fuel and I turned a couple of the switches off ’.”

The pilot said in his statement the site where he was trying to land in the garden of his house was prone to “rogue winds”.

He added the wind was “north, slight north-westerly and just when I got here [near the accident site], something seemed to hit me like a squall and pushed me down”.

He said he had experienced “rogue winds”.

The pilot and one of the witnesses added the wind sock was fully extended meaning the wind was more than 20 knots or 37kmh.

The helicopter was completely destroyed with one of the rotor blades ripped chunks out of a nearby road – critically the aircraft never caught fire.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the fire service cut them from the wreckage.

They were then taken by Coast Guard helicopter to hospital.

The accident investigator found the cause of the incident was loss of control during landing with the contributory cause “of the site to adverse wind conditions”.
