Tent ditched for Bake Off final shake up
Briony Williams THE Great British Bake Off final will include a challenge outside the famous tent for the first time ever.
Contestants will take on an unusual technical task away from the marquee in a bid to be crowned Bake Off champion next week.
A show source said: “You won’t need ovens or hobs for this challenge.
“It should be simple but not everything goes according to plan.”
It is the first time in nine seasons that the final has left the legendary tent.
Last night, Briony Williams, 33, was eliminated after mistaking salt for sugar, and ending up with raw pastry.
This week’s star baker, Ruby Bhogal, will compete against Kim-joy and Rahul Mandal in the final. It airs on Tuesday on Channel 4. Newly-single Anthony Quinlan enjoys a night out after splitting from Strictly dancer Dianne Buswell.
The Emmerdale star, 34, chatted to Corrie pal Julia Goulding, 33, at the glam Inside Soap Awards in London.
He has rubbished “the curse of Strictly” as the reason he is no longer with Dianne, 29, who is partnering
Youtuber Joe
Sugg, 27, on the
BBC dance show.
Anthony, who plays Pete Barton in the ITV soap, said: “It was labelled as a curse but in all honesty me and Dianne actually broke up a month before it came out and we’re still really good mates.
“We had 10 months together and it was up and down. If she’s with Joe now then good luck to them.”
