THEY’VE SCOT TO BE RESPECTED SAYS JVG

MUNSTER v GLASGOW WARRIORS Thomond Park, 5.15pm

MUNSTER are primed to face a huge physical test from a Glasgow hungry to dole out defeats, coach Johann van Grann has warned.

Seven weeks on from a 15-point loss to Dave Rennie’s side, Munster have the chance to avenge that result tonight.

Keith Earls and Niall Scannell are both named to start following their recent injury problems while JJ Hanrahan is handed the No.10 shirt for the first time since that defeat at Scotstoun.

Van Graan (left) has been impressed by the Warriors this season. He said: “They’re a quality side. They showed that against Cardiff last week, I thought they were at their best. I was watching it from my couch at home and I think they scored two tries within the first three or four minutes. That’s how dangerous they are. They’re doing it to everybody.”

There are seven changes in total to the Munster side that defeated Gloucester last weekend, with nine of their 11 Ireland squad members named in the matchday 23.

Sammy Arnold celebrates his maiden call up to Joe Schmidt’s squad with a place alongside Rory Scannell in the centre while Niall Scannell has shaken off an ankle injury to reclaim the hooker’s shirt.

MUNSTER: M Haley; A Conway, S Arnold, R Scannell, K Earls; JJ Hanrahan, A Mathewson; J Cronin, N Scannell, J Ryan; J Kleyn, B Holland; P O’mahony (C), C Cloete, CJ Stander.
