Hearts to come up Trumps

-

THE progressive course winner Hearts Are Trumps can land the featured Faber Audiovisuals Handicap Hurdle as Galway’s three day October meeting gets under way this afternoon.

This Des Mcdonoghtrained five-year-old has come good to win two of his last four starts and there was lots to like about his easy course and distance triumph here earlier in the month.

Hearts Are Trumps has picked up an 11lb rise in the ratings but this may not be enough to keep him from winning again.

He faces a fascinating rival in the potentially high class Off You Go who hasn’t run since landing the valuable Coral.ie Hurdle at Leopardstown in February.

This Charles Byrnes inmate is open to any amount of improvement but he may just be best watched on this occasion.

Gordon Elliott takes the wraps off a potentially high class type in the opener where Felix Desjy starts out over hurdles.

This gelding was a high class sort in bumpers last season and he ran very well for a long way in the Cheltenham bumper.

He should do well over timber and he has been found a good opportunity.

Elliott will be fancied to take the rated novice chase with Boot Camp but that one might have to give best to Abbey Magic who is chasing a hat-trick.

Abbey Magic defeated a decent sort at Kilbeggan two months ago and he followed that with a handicap chase win at Navan several weeks ago.

In the mares chase Dawn Shadow is fancied to win as she should improve a good deal on her recent second to Moonlight Escape at Sligo.
