1,000 make strides for Sean fundraiser

MORE than 1,000 people lined out for a fun run in aid of seriously injured Liverpool fan Sean Cox.

Young and old turned out for the event in Dunboyne, Co Meath, yesterday to support the fund which has so far raised €159,395 of its goal of €2million.

Dad Sean, 53, below, suffered a brain injury when attacked by Roma fans before a match against Liverpool in April.

Organiser Teresa Smith said: “The support and compassion we have witnessed has been nothing short of phenomenal.”
