Funeral to be held for tragic Electric Picnic founder John

John Reynolds ELECTRIC Picnic founder John Reynolds will be laid to rest later this week.

The body of the 52-yearold, who was a nephew of ex-taoiseach Albert Reynolds, was discovered at his home in Miltown, Co Dublin, last Thursday.

In a statement released yesterday, Mr Reynolds’ family thanked the public for their condolence­s and support before announcing his Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday.

They said: “The Reynolds family wish to thank sincerely the media, music industry and general public for their condolence­s, tributes and support over recent days.

“The funeral of concert and festival promoter John Reynolds will take place on Thursday in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook, Dublin 4, at 2.30pm.

“John will be reposing at Rom Massey and Sons Funeral Directors, Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road on Wednesday between 5pm to 8pm.”

Mr Reynolds’ body was discovered last week when concerned family members raised the alarm after they had not heard from the Longford man in several days.

A source previously told the Irish Mirror Mr Reynolds’ death is not being treated as suspicious.
