Crash jet ‘had speed issues’

THE Indonesian airliner carrying 189 people that crashed into the sea suffered “unreliable airspeed” on its previous flight.

Air safety boss Haryo Satmiko said officials are seeking details from the previous pilot to fly the jet.

He added: “There were technical issues, one was unreliable airspeed. We are also asking for informatio­n from the last pilot.”

Everyone on Lion Air Flight JT610 is believed to have died in the crash near Jakarta on Monday.
