Trump supporters danced to the hit song at a rally on Saturday, just hours after a gunman had killed 11 people at a synagogue.
On Monday, the singer’s attorney issued a cease and desist letter to the US President.
It said the use of Happy without permission was a copyright and trademark violation.
The notice said:
“On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana.
Trump at shooting “There was memorial yesterday nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday.”
The order applies to Williams’ work.
The letter said: “Pharrell has not, and will not, grant you permission to publicly perform or otherwise broadcast or disseminate any of his music.” all of
