Con laughs in face of death
Killer Rodney Berget A MURDERER on death row used his last words to crack a joke about being late for his own execution.
Rodney Berget’s execution was delayed for more than six hours as an appeal for clemency was rejected by the US Supreme Court.
In South Dakota’s death chamber, Berget, 56, said: “Sorry for the delay, I got caught in traffic.”
He was killed by lethal injection for murdering a prison guard in a botched jail breakout in 2011.
