Deal slashes meat costs for charity

A NEW partnershi­p will reduce the Simon Community’s meat costs by up to 30%, it has been claimed.

The homeless charity has partnered with Kepak Group, an Irish valueadded food producer.

It will provide enough free beef, lamb, pork and chicken to make more than 45,000 meals.

Kepak Group spokesman Niamh Keating said: “We are in the fortunate position to be able to provide food to people in need and are delighted to be able to help.”

Simon’s Justyna Drogomirec­ka added: “Partnershi­ps like these are of enormous value.”
