Gosden pair two of a kind

-

MAIN British hopes Enable and Roaring Lion have both drawn stall two in their races on Saturday’s Breeders’

Cup card at Churchill Downs, Kentucky.

The draw near the inside rails will be an advantage for dual Arc winner Enable, who is bidding to become the first horse to follow up victory in the

French race with a win in the Breeders’ Cup Turf.

But his fellow John Gosden (above) trainee Roaring Lion is racing on dirt in the Classic and may need to rush forward early rather than get covered up and face kickback.

Enable is one of 13 contenders for the Turf over 1m4f with Aidan O’brien fielding both Magical (drawn five) and Hunting Horn (13).

French trainer Andre Fabre has last year’s winner Talismanic in one and Waldgeist in 12.

THE two operations planning to run pool betting in Britain will work together in a £50 million sevenyear contract.

The deal between Britbet, put together by 55 of Britain’s racecourses, and the Tote consortium made up of Betfred and Alizeti means racing will continue to have just one tote bet pool.
