JJ LUNNEY says the lure of European football next season was impossible to resist.

The midfielder, 20, yesterday completed a move to Waterford from Bohemians on a deal for the 2019 season.

Lunney said: “Alan Reynolds showed lots of interest in signing me and I’m delighted to get it sorted.

“The club is on the up and it’s great to be here. The style of play suits me down to the ground and who doesn’t want to be involved in Europe. I

“It’s a great setup here and it’s always nice to know where you’re going to play next season and to get that done is brilliant.”

ALI REGHBA fired Bohemians to the U19 league title last night after a derby win over Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght.
