FRANKS FOR FIVE GREAT MOMENTS

-

1 Frank Lampard‘s double at Bolton on April 30, 2005, cemented a 2-0 victory and Chelsea’s first top-flight league title in 50 years. 2 Grieving from the death of his mother a week earlier, Lampard netted an extra-time penalty in the Champions League semi-final second leg for Chelsea on April 30, 2008, helping them beat Liverpool 4-3 on aggregate to reach their first final. 3 On May 19, 2012, Lampard captained Chelsea and scored in Champions League Final penalty shoot-out win over Bayern Munich, before Didier Drogba sealed victory. Lampard also led Blues to the Europa League trophy. 4 Lampard surpassed Bobby Tambling as Chelsea’s record scorer on May 11, 2013. He got his 211th – and last Blues goal – in a win over Stoke on April 5, 2014. 5 Chelsea fans cheered Lampard’s arrival as a late sub on September 21, 2014 – and he got his first goal for Manchester City to earn a draw at the Etihad. He declined to celebrate, but was cheered by the entire stadium.
