2,500 new social homes in five years
Eoghan Murphy AT least 2,500 new social homes are hoped to be supplied over the next five years.
Housing association Respond has invested €500million in this project and has 414 properties under construction.
Of these 250 are nearing completion this year, the 2017 Annual Report for Respond revealed yesterday.
Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy said: “Respond has risen to the challenge and it is clear, they have the ambition to continue to play a role in Rebuilding Ireland.”
Respond chief Declan Dunne said: “Our core mission is to help alleviate the housing and homelessness crisis by providing on-the-ground solutions.”
