€70k raised for Sean with Carra’s help
ALMOST €70,000 has been raised by Liverpool fans for injured Sean Cox.
The dad of three, 53, was severely injured after being attacked by AS Roma ulstras before the club’s Champions League semi-final in April.
The Co Meath man is receiving treatment in the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire.
The collection took place before Liverpool’s home game against Cardiff at Anfield on Saturday.
Club legend Jamie Carragher was among those who volunteered their time to help with the effort.
A total of €32,580 was collected at the ground.
This was matched by the LFC Foundation, the official charity partner of the Reds.
