Neck wound man treated

A MAN was seriously injured when he was stabbed in the neck in an attack yesterday.

The 32-year-old was rushed to hospital at 2.30am in Drogheda, Co Louth.

He was brought to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital after the incident, which happened near Windmill Road in the town.

A Garda spokesman said: “Gardai in Drogheda are investigat­ing a serious assault that occurred on Windmill Road, Drogheda, at approximat­ely 2.30am.

“One man was removed to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital with serious injuries. No arrests at this time. Investigat­ions are ongoing.”
