Parents act tough over school plays
SCHOOL plays bring out the worst competitive streak in more than 65% of parents, a survey has found.
Research from Virgin TV revealed over half admitted to having felt resentful when their child missed out on a main part.
One in 10 parents confessed to having spent hours making their kids’ costumes to “out do” the competition, while 20% splashed out for extra singing and dancing lessons.
Virgin Media’s David Bouchier said: “Our research shows just how important the school Christmas play is to parents.”
