‘Fish fingers an eco treat’
EATING fish fingers can be good for the environment.
The teatime favourite, with 1.5 million eaten daily, is now included in the Marine Conservation Society’s Good Fish Guide after research found 85% came from sustainable sources.
Asda, the Co-op and Iceland products were top for their amount of fish.
Compiler Rajina Gurung said: “Some saver brands are the most sustainable.
“All the 48 fish fingers we investigated contained cod, pollock or haddock.”
