MURPHY’S LAW OVER
KEVIN O’DONOVAN has been named as the new Cork secretary as Frank Murphy’s reign on Leeside finally draws to a close.
Murphy (left) will retire after 45 years in the role at next month’s county convention, with O’donovan stepping up from the vice-chairman role. Unlike most counties, the role of secretary/ceo is a full-time paid position in Cork and the GAA’S HR department was involved in the process. O’donovan is a member of the GAA National Fixtures Analysis Committee.
