Spurs eye deal for Doucoure
TOTTENHAM are keen on Watford’s £35milion-rated enforcer Abdoulaye Doucoure – as doubts grow over the future of Victor Wanyama.
The Frenchman, 25, has attracted a string of admirers for his displays in the Hornets’ midfield, with Liverpool, Paris Saint-germain and Arsenal also monitoring his progress – but Spurs could make a move in January.
Wanyama, 27, moved to North London from Southampton for just £9m two years ago and looked a bargain buy during his impressive first season, making 47 appearances.
But he picked up a knee injury in a pre-season game against Barcelona and has since struggled to regain his place in Spurs’ starting line-up.
