If you need to stain white pine timber into a more antique colour, you can simply use coffee. Just add more coffee for a darker look Q

I’m looking to have one wall in my kitchen covered in small split tiles. It’s a concrete wall with plasterboard on it. Will it hold proper tiles or should I opt for 3D wallpaper? Mary Anne Hill, Blackwood, Gwent A

Plasterboard will hold wall tiles.

They would have to be very heavy for the plasterboard to fail. I would go ahead with using split tiles.

Try Peelaway Paint Remover. I have used it loads of times. Or you could hire a textured surface remover which uses abrasive pads to help remove the paint.
