“You can’t do any more than that,” added Kenny. “They’ve been absolutely spectacular in their response. Now they’re going to the final to have the perfect season to win the double, to win the final, to really turn it on in the cup final.

“That’s what you’d really like the players to do, to really open up and show their quality. But you have to earn it because Cork won’t hand it to you.”

Kenny added: “They close you down quicker than any other team. They don’t give you a minute in possession and you have to absolutely earn everything.”
