LAMPARD: SO DANGEROUS IF WE RELAX

- BY JAMES NURSEY

DERBY boss Frank Lampard made his squad train at Pride Park yesterday ahead of successive home games.

The Rams are off the back of three straight away matches, including the midweek 3-2 Carabao Cup exit at Chelsea.

Next up are Birmingham today before Aston Villa come calling next weekend.

And Lampard (below) is cracking the whip. He said: “We must remain focused because this Championship will hit you where it hurts if you relax.

“Our form has been impressive and encouraging but I think there is more we can do.

“It is a dangerous time if you think you are doing well in terms of results as you can relax.”

Striker Jack Marriott scored his fourth goal in five games at Stamford Bridge and said: “It is good to be back here at home. We are looking forward to it.

“I thought we really held our own at Chelsea and were unfortunate not to get anything out of the game. We just need to reproduce that confidence against

Birmingham and

Villa.”
