SAMCRO met with a shock defeat at Down Royal yesterday — and lost his place at the top of the Champion Hurdle betting.

Gordon Elliott’s star was sent off at 4-9 for the WKD Hurdle but went under by a length and a half to 12-1 chance Bedrock.

Betfair pushed Samcro out to 4-1
