THE LUCK of the Irish was alive and well last night as Brendan Murray soared through to next week’s live shows. The 21-year old Galway man sang 5 Seconds of Summer’s Youngblood, which judge Robbie Williams hailed as “amazing”.
And it appears it paid off with his new energetic performance winning over both the public and the judges to see him sail through.
Before last night’s show, the plumber took to Twitter for support.
He said: “Soooooooo nervous for tonight! Tune into X Factor tonight to watch my performance, I’ll be act number 11.
“Voting lines will shortly open after that! Will keep you updated with voting details.”
