OAP on roof 3 days dies

A MAN of 102 who spent three days trapped on the roof of his house has died.

Former racing driver Ron Easton was trying to fix his TV aerial when he got stuck in a gully.

He was airlifted from Bigbury-on-sea, Devon, to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth on October 24.

Ron – known as Ton-up Ron because of his love of fast cars – was found after a neighbour saw a build-up of milk bottles at his door.

A flag was at half-mast in his village this weekend.
