Sir Cliff snubs BBC by giving ITV life scoop
SIR Cliff Richard has got his own back on the BBC for breaching his privacy by giving rival broadcasters ITV behind-thescenes access to his life.
The legendary singer allowed the channel’s cameras to follow him as he made his first album since being cleared of sex abuse allegations.
The intimate footage will appear in a prime time ITV documentary called 60 Years of Cliff Richard.
Sources hailed it a “poke in the eye” for the Beeb which was forced to pay him more than £1million in damages and legal costs after screening a 2014 police raid on his Berkshire home live.
Sir Cliff, 78, was never arrested or charged as a result of the probe.
