Inquest into Foxes owner death opens
INQUESTS into the deaths of Leicester City’s Thai owner and four others in a helicopter crash are due to be opened today.
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 60, died when the chopper came down seconds after take-off from the King Power stadium.
Nusara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, both 33, pilot Eric Swaffer, 53, and his girlfriend Izabela Lechowicz, 46, also died in the crash on October 27.
Video showed the Westland AW169 go into a tail spin and fall to earth.
Leicester senior coroner Catherine Mason will open the inquests this morning. ■ Vichai’s racehorse Fox Fearless will run in his colours at Nottingham tomorrow, his first to compete since the tragedy.

A SCULPTOR came up short when making this statue of Mo Salah…
Egyptian artist Mai Abdel Allah portrayed her fellow countryman with a huge head and tiny body.
Some believe the bronze statue looks more like pop star Leo Sayer than the Liverpool striker.
And it has been branded even worse than the one at Madeira airport of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, which was mocked so widely it was destroyed.
Liverpool fan Robert Bona said of the Salah sculpture: “I am totally speechless. I didn’t think I’d ever see a worse statue than that Ronaldo one, but here it is.” Mai confessed she was “not happy with the final result”, but said: “I had no hand in pouring the mold.” Her sculpture was unveiled at the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh on Sunday.
Ronaldo and Salah are not the only ones with dodgy statues. Maradona has one in Kolkata, India.
