Four killers in plea for firing squad deaths
Electric chair FOUR death row inmates in the same prison have requested death by firing squad instead of lethal injection or electrocution.
Murderers David Miller, Nicholas Sutton, Stephen West and Terry King filed a lawsuit in Tennessee last Friday – the day after Edmund Zagorski was killed by electrocution.
Double-killer Zagorski’s lawyer argued the method was more humane than lethal injection, and it was the first time in 11 years the state used the method.
Stephen Kissinger, representing the inmates, wrote: “There exist alternative methods which reduce risk of unnecessary and serious pain.”
The suit adds the state has the trained personnel, firearms and space to allow for a firing squad.
