- BY SHAUNA CORR

Saoirse Smyth POLICE say they “will not give up investigating” the disappearance of a woman they fear has been killed.

Saoirse Smyth was 28 when she vanished from Belfast 82 weeks ago.

She often commuted back and forth from the city to Omeath, Co Louth, where she had been living.

However, she has not been in contact with her family since last April.

Detectives yesterday carried out inquiries and put up posters in Newry, Co Down.

Det Chief Insp Geoffrey Boyce said: “Saoirse Smyth was last seen on April 11, 2017, in Belfast.

“I believe later that day she returned to Omeath.”

Anyone with information should contact the PSNI on +4428 9070 0355.
