Noel’s a right Chuckle Bro, says his wife
NOEL Edmonds’ wife Liz has dubbed him and Harry Redknapp “the Chuckle Brothers” – but has worries about her husband’s normally immaculate beard.
“My favourite moment was him doing the trials with Harry. They are like the Chuckle Brothers together!” she said.
Liz Davies, who has just arrived in Australia with her son Harrison, said: “He will be brushing his teeth, flossing and grooming that beard; God knows what’s living in it now.”
She said she cannot wait to see him as it is the longest the couple have been apart.
“I think he is doing incredibly well, he’s got phobias of heights, creepy crawlies, he has tackled his demons and I won’t need to get the spider out of the bath anymore,” she said. “We’re not surprised people have been voting for him to do the trials because of all the gotchas and the gunging over the years on different programmes… it is kind of payback.”
Liz, who met Noel when she worked as his make-up artist on Deal Or No Deal in 2006, also insisted he was not being vain in camp.
But she added: “After having those 20 cockroaches in his mouth I hope he is having a good old brush and mouthwash, he will have to do that before he sees me.” Harrison is said to have persuaded Noel to enter the jungle.
