‘BLUES BEING SINGLED OUT’

CESC FABREGAS looks to be edging closer to leaving Chelsea next month after revealing he is fed up with life as a fringe player under Maurizio Sarri.

AC Milan are among a number of clubs interested in the World Cup-winning midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season. Fabregas (above) started Thursday night’s Europa League draw against Vidi in Budapest with most of the Blues’ A-listers rested.

31, who joined from Barcelona in on Thursday night when anti-semitic chanting was heard at the Europa League match against MOL Vidi. Days after four fans were alleged to have racially abused Raheem Sterling, Chelsea issued their strongest statement for over 30 years to condemn the “brainless minority” that had shamed them in Eastern Europe.

But Fabregas insists the problem goes beyond Stamford Bridge. “It’s easy to point at the Chelsea supporters that did that,“he said. “But this happens in many places. It’s true it 2014, said: “I know what my role is. Unfortunat­ely it’s not the one I want.

“This happens to all clubs. There’s always insults. But when we cross the line with racism, it’s too far.

“They will be punished and taught a big lesson.” Referees at each of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures will remind club captains that any abuse aimed at themselves or fellow players should be reported straight to match officials.
