Bony 3, Celina 88 HULL will take The Godfather approach with Jarrod Bowen – they will only sell if they receive an offer they can’t refuse.

Tigers’ £15million-rated striker (above) added to his growing reputation by sealing a comefrom-behind win with two late strikes, after seeing his first-half penalty saved by Erwin Mulder.

Tommy Elphick headed home in between to help lift Hull eight points from danger after one defeat in nine games for Nigel Adkins’ resurgent troops.

Hull are braced for January bids for 22-year-old Bowen, who has been linked with Everton and Brighton after taking his season’s goal tally to eight.

Film-buff Adkins is a big fan of The Godfather trilogy, and the boss said: “I’m sure we’ll get bids. The line will be it’s business, it’s not personal – that’s a great phrase from The Godfather. We’re not in a situation where we have got to sell anyone for the hell of it.

“Jarrod has got every opportunity to play at a higher level as long as he keeps working hard, strives to keep himself grounded and realises he’s part of a team.

“If anybody does want him they’re not going to get him on the cheap but if someone came off the wage bill then we could look to bring players in.”
