11 Fermanagh (23)
PROMOTION and an Ulster final appearance (inset) was a decent showing but they bottomed out against Donegal and
Kildare. 12 Armagh (11)
GOT out of Division Three and made the last 12, a fair reflection of where Armagh are at. 13 Clare (15)
WILL wonder what might have been after blowing it against Armagh with the Super 8s coming into view. 14 Cork (12)
AS bad a season as Cork have had in a long time. Is it foolhardy to suggest that the only way is up?
15 Tipperary (13) DEFEAT to Cork in Munster was something they could ill afford. Time may have passed them by after 2016 heroics. 16 Meath (16)
SAME old, same old. Performance against Tyrone offered some hope but don’t look like a side that’s improving or regressing. 17 Longford (18)
FINALLY made a Leinster semi-final after 30 years. Missed a big opportunity to reach Division Two. 18 Laois (27)
PROBABLY the most improved team in the country and, under John Sugrue’s (above) stewardship, should progress further in 2019. 19 Down (10)
THE relative high of reaching an Ulster final last year wasn’t built on, though Paddy Tally is an exciting appointment. 20 Westmeath (21)
NEED managerial stability now with Jack Cooney’s appointment though loss of John Heslin (inset) could be crippling. 21 Carlow (22)
THEY continue to offer hope to counties of similar size and profile, though how much more scope for improvement they have is questionable. 22 Offaly (24)
PROMISE of Paul Rouse’s brief reign has petered out rapidly with several key players not committing for 2019. 23 Sligo (19)
DIDN’T raise a gallop at all this year. May benefit from a local man, Paul Taylor, taking the reins for a change.
24 Derry (17) UNDERMINED by absence of Slaughtneil players, but still shouldn’t be in Division Four. Must bounce back quickly.
25 Louth (18)
A BLEAK year for Louth, who were out of their depth in Division Two and largely in the Championship too.
26 Wexford (25) NEARLY pulled off a surprise win over Laois but that performance proved the exception rather than the rule.
27 Antrim (28) FIRMLY established once again in Division Four, from which they must emerge if they are to go anywhere. 28 Leitrim (30)
WILL look to surf the momentum from a landmark qualifier win over Louth under new boss Terry Hyland. 29 London (32)
A LOFTY fourth place finish in Division Four but missed opportunities to make a bigger imprint on the Championship. 30 Waterford (26)
A RARE Championship win over Wexford but they were well off the pace other than that with just one win in Division Four. 31 Wicklow (31)
BOTTOM of Division Four, their Championship win over Offaly was more a reflection of where their opponents were at. 32 Limerick (29)
HAVING been one of the success stories of the noughties, it’s sad to see Limerick reassume their traditional rating. 33 New York (33)
IT’LL be some time before they have a better chance of elusive Championship victory having let it slip against Leitrim this year (below, Jamie Clarke in action for New York against
Darragh Rooney).
