DJ NIALL CALLS IN COPS AFTER DEATH THREAT TO WORKER

-

The popular presenter, 55, said the abusive language was nothing new to him.

He added: “I’ve a reasonably thick skin. And genuinely people who make threats like that are probably not going to do it.

“It’s probably somebody with mental problems.

“But I felt sorry for my colleague. She’s a young girl and to see something like that written on the screen – from her point of view and for her sake, I think it’s important that I take things like that very seriously.”

Aside from this incident, 2018 was otherwise a good year for the Dubliner.

As well as hosting his awardwinning radio show, Niall is now branching out into TV.

He is a regular panellist on The Tonight Show on Virgin Media One with Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates. And he has found himself sitting on the couch beside Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

TALKS

Niall revealed: “I’m currently in talks with an independent production company and you might be seeing me sooner rather than later on the TV. “

He admits he has had his fair share of ups and downs in his personal life.

Niall is in the middle of a divorce with the mother of his three children, although now he is now very much in love again.

He said: “I was more than surprised when Karen came into my life. It was very random.

“She is a promoter and she was bringing a band into the studio – and I ended up just talking to her all night.

“It went from strength-tostrength and we haven’t stopped talking since. We are with each other now nearly two years.

“She is the most amazing, supportive wonderful human being I’ve ever met.”
