HARRY KANE and Tottenham took just three minutes of the New Year to show they remain a serious force in the title race.

A shock 3-1 home loss to promoted Wolves prompted claims Spurs’ title bid could be coming down with the Christmas decorations.

But there was emphatically no sign of choking here as Kane, Christian Eriksen and Heungmin Son lit up the Cardiff City Stadium with first-half goals. Their triple blitz in the first 26 minutes silenced the noisy locals and even Neil Warnock.

Neither the City boss or his side had much response to Spurs’ class as the visitors took the lead in just the third minute en route to second place.
