HARRY KANE and Tottenham took just three minutes of the New Year to show they remain a serious force in the title race.

A shock 3-1 home loss to promoted Wolves prompted claims Spurs’ title bid could be coming down with the Christmas decorations.

Kane began the move with a driving run through midfield before releasing England colleague Kieran Trippier on the right to cross.

Home captain Sean Morrison could only clear the ball straight on to Kane as it ricocheted in for a slightly fortunate opener for the striker’s 18th of the season.

But it was classy Spurs who scored again in the 12th minute after a wellworked move and superb finish from Eriksen.
