Business not quite Dun yet..
VINNY PERTH says he is open-minded about adding further to Dundalk’s squad ahead of the 2019 season.
Having recently snapped up striker Daniel Kelly from Bohemians and goalkeeper Aaron
Mccarey from
Warrenpoint Town, the Lilywhites are scouring the market for quality additions to their doublewinning panel.
“We’ve a small bit of work to do,” said new boss Perth.
“We’ve strengthened in the two areas we needed to. We believe there’s more improvement in the squad, but we also didn’t think we’d get anyone from the UK really until the transfer window opens in January.
“We don’t have targets narrowed down yet but last year we brought in a couple of lads from continental Europe and that had mixed results.
“Krisztian Adorjan scored a big goal for us against Cork and he was a real star, and we just couldn’t hold onto him at the time. But we still have Karolis Chvedukas with us.
“But we’re so openminded at the moment. At this time of year agents are offering players.
“We’re looking at a lot of videos and our scouting system remains strong, and we’re definitely looking to strengthen if the right players become available.
“It could take three or four weeks but we could sign one or two more.”
