new mum feared losing out on jobs
XPOSE star Glenda Gilson said she was afraid she would lose out on jobs if she didn’t return to work so soon after having her baby.
After welcoming Bobby Mac before Halloween, the Ireland’s Got Mor Talent host returned to her presenting duties when show auditions kicked off in November.
Speaking at the launch, Virgin Media Television’s spring schedule, she explained: “I’m not back at work fully yet, but I’ve got Ireland’s Got Talent and that was fantastic but I didn’t have a choice. If I don’t do it someone else will come in and do it, so it is kind of like, do I want to do it or..
“Like I had the gig, but it was only one year of it so the next year it’s kind of like OK, are you going to do it or not.”
Meanwhile, after a not-so-short break off the screen, it was announced Irish drama Red Rock will also be back with a bang this year.
Speaking at the launch at The Alex Hotel in Dublin yesterday, Virgin Media Television’s Bill Malone said: “Red Rock is back on February 4, but you will have to wait and see if it is here to stay.
“I don’t want to give away the ending, but I will tell you that this is the most sensational and explosive series ever.”
And after a phenomenal
summer of romance and sport, which brought record breaking ratings and an increase of 7% in viewership, Mr Malone revealed there will be even more reality TV gold and sporting coverage in store for the new year.
He said: “There is a lot of big programming and events happening in 2019 on VMT and I guess if you look at it we have got great brands like Gogglebox Ireland, Ireland’s Got Talent and Champions League but the Six Nations is the biggest thing right now while Ireland are so good.”
