Vile couple are jailed for abusing boys

A “BRUTAL” dad and his sexual abuser wife were both jailed yesterday.

Belfast Crown Court heard how the 62-year-old man waged a campaign of child cruelty against his two sons from when they were five to 16 – between 1984 and 1996.

He was jailed for a year taking his ill health into account. The judge said it was lenience “not afforded to your children”.

The boys’ 59-year-old stepmother was sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.

The judge called it “a shocking breach of trust”.
