Nantes demand money for Sala

on. Cardiff have held off until they establish the full facts and see who was to blame for the tragedy after the plane, the Piper Malibu N264DB, went missing with Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on board two weeks ago.

Investigat­ors have discovered the plane in the Channel with a body inside, but have yet to identify it.

They are also trying to establish who owned the plane, insurance issues and other details, which could result in an insurance payout.

French club Bourdeaux are also entitled to a cut of the fee.

Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock has been assured his future is safe.

Warnock, 70, admitted: “There were times when I thought, ‘Is it worth it, being a football manager after all that’s happened?’ But I’m looking forward to (the rest of the season),
