Abbey writer in new series

DOWNTON Abbey writer Julian Fellowes is to adapt his novel Belgravia into a six-part series for ITV.

The drama begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and uncovers the secrets of London’s high society.

The drama, currently being cast, will start filming in the spring.

ITV drama boss Polly Hill said: “It’s a tale of scandal and intrigue set in 1840s London with some wonderful characters spanning two generations.”
