Woman killed in road crash

A WOMAN died and two girls were injured when their car left the road and hit a ditch yesterday.

The single-vehicle collision happened in Ardpatrick, Kilmallock, Co Limerick, at around 3.30pm.

The body of the woman was removed from the scene and brought University Hospital Limerick for a postmortem.

Two passengers aged seven and 16 suffered minor injuries.
