Ex-president joins gender balance club
Mary Mcaleese A CLUB promoting gender balance has announced a former President of Ireland as its newest member.
The 30% Club revealed former head of state Professor Mary Mcaleese, and Dr Martin Mcaleese are their new Patrons.
It now has more than 220 member organisations in Ireland across a wide range of sectors.
Prof Mcaleese said: “Martin and I have always worked as a partnership and supported each other.
“Becoming patrons of the 30% Club to promote gender diversity is something we are both equally passionate about.
“Achieving progress on gender diversity, is equally about men and women working together to achieve that change.”
