High note for music room’s 10th birthday

AN inspirational music room is marking its 10th birthday today with a special screening.

The Ballymun facility in North Dublin has helped many youngsters learn to play instruments.

Its anniversary will be marked with a screening of documentary, Ballymun Lullaby by Frank Berry.

Spokesman Ron Cooney said: “The Music Room is significant in helping to ensure music education is embedded in the community.

“Music has an immense power to connect people.

“It’s extremely satisfying to see students so receptive to the programme, year in, year out.”
