Ant’s a fight on his Hands

-

TYRONE are staring down the barrel of relegation if they lose tomorrow to a much-improved Roscommon under Anthony Cunningham (above).

The Tyrone players seem much bigger and bulkier and are lacking in agility. They have baffled me lately with some of their poor play.

Their application suggests there’s a lack of desire within the ranks and their chronic low scoring also points to something not quite right so far.

Roscommon will prove a massive test with their well-oiled, disciplined defensive system.

It will certainly pose a problem for a Tyrone forward unit devoid of ideas – and that is seriously lacking in leadership, conviction and confidence.

The Hyde will be no hiding place on Sunday and it may well be Mickey Harte’s biggest test for some time.

Cunningham’s biggest achievement is if he keeps the Rossies in the top tier – and l believe they may just do that with a win against an out of sorts Tyrone.
