Bazunu’s a Cityzen

MANCHESTER CITY have successfully fast-tracked Gavin Bazunu’s transfer from Shamrock Rovers.

Mirror Sport flagged last month how the Premier League champions wanted the teenage goalkeeper to move immediately rather than in the summer.

“Gavin has completed the move earlier than we originally expected,” said Hoops sporting director Stephen Mcphail.

“Working with Gavin, his family and the other parties involved we are happy this is the best scenario for Gavin and the football club.”

Bazunu was signed by City in October for an initial fee of €500,000 but expected to move until July.
