PEP GUARDIOLA turned the air blue after being pranked by Benjamin Mendy.

The Manchester City boss thought the defender was in Barcelona as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

But Mendy uploaded a video on Instagram of him in a car with a driver captioned ‘Hong Kong International Airport’. When Guardiola was told that Mendy’s social media status suggested he was in Hong Kong, rather than Barcelona, the City chief said: “Wow. I didn’t know it! F***, he’s a lucky guy! Before, he said I’m going for a day to Paris.

“That is fine, it is here, but Hong Kong is far away. I don’t know. I have to install Instagram on my account to control my players as I don’t know. Yesterday he was in Barcelona.”

Asked if it would be OK for Mendy to be in Hong Kong, Guardiola said: “Definitely not.”

Mendy later tweeted: “Just joking with my Uber driver. I don’t want no problems Pep.”
