VOKES: ONE WIN COULD POTT US ON RIGHT TRACK

-

STOKE new-boy Sam Vokes says he would love to spearhead a Mission: Impossible charge for promotion.

Vokes, a £7million deadline-day capture from Burnley, is refusing to rule out a frantic late charge for the play-offs.

The striker (above) makes his Potters home debut against West Brom tonight, determined to prove the cynics wrong, even though Stoke sit 15th in the table.

Vokes said: “It’s about trying to turn those losses and draws into wins and there’s no better place to start than now.

“It can kickstart our season. It can take just a win to turn the season around and there’s still plenty of time to kick on.

“We need to build that confidence, but there’s plenty of time between now and the end of the season to do that.

“We are going to have the crowd behind us, and it might just take us along and something will click into place.”
