ADKINS: MIND THE GAP

HULL boss Nigel Adkins wants his players to go all out to narrow the gap on Derby to a single point.

The Rams are outside the top-six only on goal difference but the Tigers are just four points behind.

Adkins (left) said: “Derby have been in the play-off picture all season. I thought we could have beaten them at our place earlier in the season but we conceded a late goal.

“They’re an excellent side, but we’re in good form. We’ll go there full of confidence but at the same time realise it’s going to be a tough, tough game.

“We were bottom of the table in October, now we’re in the race.”
